Really look, not just at the ratings from a test that doesn't include actual user experience. Please, do your due diligence and research this software before you buy.

I would rather have malware from someone else than pay avast to destroy my files. I hope someone sees this and avoids this software. It appears avast has known about deleting stuff since there are others on the internet with the same story but they have done nothing to fix or warn people. They are corrupted since I installed this pro crap. I have spent hours trying to get it back from a restore point and a backup that I made when I had Norton, but neither seem to work. Including a valuable file that avast must have decided was dangerous. Not quarantined, not in recycle bin, just gone. Had to reboot.ĭozens of files are simply gone. It scanned and scanned, the add on crashed during install. I upgraded last night to the "pro" version with an advanced something or another add on. I used the free version for a couple of weeks with no issues. I doubt this post will survive for long but I have a serious problem with this software.
